Try Chocolate Orange Gelato

In my last post I said something about gelato and a good story that would follow. Well it has been awhile since my last post. I got a little busy. Well, busy isn't the right word. Because I actually didn't really do much. I didn't feel like doing much. And that would be because I got a skin infection. MRSA to be exact. I was hospitalized for a few days and put on bed rest for many more. And I probably could have blogged in that time, but I just didn't feel like doing it or much of anything actually. I don't even know what I did with all the time. Slept. And I had visitors to entertain me. Anyways, I am on the mend. Still can't do much of anything, and it really stinks. Summer is my favorite time of year, and I can't do all the fun summer things. I spend my days indoors. BLAH! Oh well, it's life. Anyways, I don't really want to blog about my infection and the huge hole on the side of my body.

So onto the gelato story. Now, it doesn't seem as good of a story as it was. Probably since it has been awhile. And you probably needed to be there for it really to be funny. But it was one of those Tasha Moments that I just want to share. So Em and I want to get some yummy gelato. We get to the place and there are many wonderful flavors. I am having a hard time deciding when the Gelato Dude asks me if I want to sample the Chocolate Orange. Without hesitation I said yes. So he gives me a tiny tester spoon full of the heavenly Chocolate Orange. I now know that is the kind I want. After Em finally decides on her flavor our helper is now Gelato Girl instead of Dude. Not important really, just trying to paint the picture. So she is scooping up my "more than I needed" scoop of Chocolate Orange. (I'm going to keep saying it so you will try it). And I have this tester spoon still in my hand. Thinking I don't want to hold it anymore I look for a trash. I see this bowl on the glass of spoons and drop my tester spoon inside. I did think to myself "hmm, those spoons are much bigger than my baby tester spoon". But Gelato Girl was handing me my Chocolate Orange and I didn't care about anything else. Yes, she was watching me this whole time. Then when I had my delicious Chocolate Orange in my hand I was like "huh I need a spoon". So I turn back to the glass and see the bowl of the big spoons. It was then that I realized I dropped my gross used tester spoon in the bowl of clean spoons. And the Gelato Girl watched me the whole time and didn't say anything. What did I do? I just got a big spoon and left my tester spoon in the bowl. Pretty horrible? Maybe. But I didn't know what else to do. I guess I could have fished out my used tester spoon from the bottom of the bowl, but I didn't. When I told Em on the way to the car she could barely handle it she was laughing so hard. But oh well. These things happen. Mostly, the moral of the story is I love gelato. And Chocolate Orange is very good.

It's That Time Again

So apparently I don't update my blog much. Oh well, it doesn't matter much...

But guess what!?! It is that wonderful time of year again. As my friend truthfully said today "most magical month of the year"... it's June and you know what that means! My BIRTH MONTH! Boo-yah! It really is a magical month. It's a great time to celebrate me, but also this month Wizarding World opens. Awesome. (Though I won't quite make it to Florida in June...)

Anyways, on to other news. Let me update all my followers on my life. (Though maybe one person reads this. I really like to think I am more popular than I am. hahaha ;) jk... 82%)
  • I moved to St. Louis. Pretty big news, but also really great news! Cuz it rocks! Seriously, its a great city. There is so much to do here. Going from CJ to Provo to STL. I am just moving up in the world. haha. And you may be thinking, how is Tasha surviving in a "big city"? Actutally quite well. I drive downtown, I walked on more than one death-trap (aka man holes, sewer thing-ma-bobs, you know what I mean), I cross big roads, etc. So this shows that you should come visit me for 2 reasons: 1. St. Louis is a great city with some much fun things to do (and a lot of free things!) 2. You can see me in my city element (you know you want to) oh and 3. You can see the Midwest in all its glory and see what you have been missing out on :)

  • Why did I move to St. Louis you may be wondering. For an internship. And I have a pretty amazing internship at that. I am realizing that I am on a luck streak. 1. St. Louis rocks. 2. Living with my aunt for free and it's fun 3. My internship is a fantastic exeperience 4. My sister lives with me 5. I am just cool. Anyways, the internship, it's just a really great experience. And I am learning a lot! And doing things I never thought I would do. So cool!

  • Insert side comment: I just realized I am being so incredibly enthusiastic in this post... Ah oh well. It works.

  • Fun things I have done in St. Louis so far (not counting things done with my internship): City Museum-- okay it's like a big playground, what more can you ask for! Sculpture Park-- is it a park? Then yes I love it. Cathedral Basilica-- so pretty! Gelato-- stay tuned for a "only Tasha would do that story" Shakespeare Festival-- watching Hamlet in the park. totally cool! Renaissance Festival-- watching Emily freak out of the sword swallowing is priceless. And then there were all the other cool things too like the jousting, camels, people dressed up, the singing, etc. That's only the major things. Other things include: bike rides, runs, jumping on the trampoline, spending time with family, swimming, BBQs, movies, malls, going for drives, etc. And there are many more things to come!

  • Fun things I have done with my internship: went and saw Robin Hood, bowling a couple of times, lots of food, game night, going to a Cardinals game tomorrow. And there are many more fun things coming up. And I am learning about all the hard work that goes into these fun events. Though, it is hard work I am loving that part also.

And there you have. I think this is the end of my blog post. :) But some pictures are needed I think!!!
